This is my anything art account. This is where I'll put my fan art and other such works that I don't think should be put into my professional account. I will update both frequently, but I wanted to have a opportunity to have potential employers see both sides of me.

I was trying to figure out stuff to do to add to my portfolio. Then one day it popped into my head.

I must give myself a mock project, like the ones I recieved in school. And since I want to be a character designer/book artist, I have to figure out something along those lines.

So I picked a book series. The Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. I know. So original. But it's a very popular series right now so most employers would know what illustrations I'm trying to do. And yes there is a movie coming out but I have been ignoring it cause I don't think it will be particularly good (didn't like the casting first off...)

So I will be setting goals for myself on the pieces to be done. I will be creating character sheets for each of the main characters (and seeing if they become popular or not I may do villians as well).

Also, my list of 100 themes I have discovered will go nicely with this project and will give me 100 pictures to put into my portfolio. Each one can be traced to a scene within the book series. Once I have my character sheets together I will start on them, as well as the idea of going through and picking out the most memorable scenes from each of the chapters and drawing them as if I was asked to do illustrations for a special edition of each of the books with full color pictures. So for this week, I figured the first character I will take on will be Bella (duh!). My due date for that to be uploaded will be friday. I'll try and make everything due friday unless I know it will be quick and easy for me to pull off.

I stumbled across the '100 Themes Challenge' a while back, and found it again. I don't wish to be an active participant, but rather just to challenge myself. So I'm putting up the list, and will put links to them as I finish them, on top of the challenges I already put to my self. These will be finished projects, while the doodle dumps will be another challenge. I bought several bargain books at Borders a while back, all on animals. Not art books but rather a good source of information and pictures on the animals. Since I want to get better at drawing beasties, I figured I'd grab a book and work on one animal at a time, starting at the beginning of the book. Practice makes perfect right?
